Steven Venton

Steven Venton writes at the intersection of wild nature and human myth. Raised on the edge of the northern woods, he grew up listening to stories of the land — stories told in tracks, in weather, in the distant call of animals that know no borders.

His debut novel, Year of the Wolf, draws from years of wilderness travel, folklore research, and a lifelong obsession with apex predators and the ancient relationship between wolves and mankind.

When he isn't writing, Steven is somewhere cold, somewhere quiet, watching for movement in the treeline.
